Warranty & Returns

All returns, warranty claims, and adjustments are subject to the following conditions.
Engine & Transmission Warranty
- Engines and transmissions may carry a standard 5-year or 7-year warranty, as noted on your invoice or written order confirmation.
- Warranty coverage may include both parts and labor when stated in writing on your invoice.
- If a covered complaint or mechanical issue is reported within the warranty period, Best Auto Zone will review the claim and may arrange replacement with a comparable engine or transmission.
- Replacement processing time is typically 5 to 7 business days after the claim is approved and all required information is received.
Returns
- All returns must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase.
- The original invoice must accompany all returns.
- Parts must be returned in the same condition, complete, and undamaged.
- All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
- Refunds on cuts and other non-standard or custom-prepped parts are subject to a 30% labor charge.
- All cores must be drained of fluids and complete as sold in order to obtain credit.
- Deposits and prepaid special-order parts are non-refundable.
- All returns are for in-store credit. Credit memos expire one year from the date of return.
Price Adjustments
- All requests for price adjustments must be made within 10 days of the original invoice date.
- Price adjustments will not exceed 50% of the original purchase price.
- The part for which a price adjustment is requested must be in returnable condition.
- Best Auto Zone may require documentation or photos of damage as justification for any price adjustment.
- All price adjustments are for in-store credit. Credit memos expire one year from the date of issuance.
Small Parts, Electrical Parts & Mechanical Accessories
- A 6-month part replacement warranty applies unless otherwise noted on your invoice.
- All warranty claims must be made within the applicable warranty period. Claims made after expiration will not be considered.
- The original invoice must accompany any warranty claim.
- The defective part must be returned to Best Auto Zone for replacement.
- A lifetime part replacement warranty may be available for an additional fee and will be noted on your invoice when purchased.
- The warranty term is based on the original purchase date.
Driveline & Major Components
- A 6-month part replacement warranty applies unless otherwise noted on your invoice.
- All warranty claims must be made within the applicable warranty period. Claims made after expiration will not be considered.
- The original invoice must accompany any warranty claim.
- Defective driveline components must be made available for inspection by Best Auto Zone or its representative while still installed in the vehicle before warranty coverage will be considered.
- New fluids, filters, seals, and gaskets must be used during installation. Lubricants and fluids must match the type recommended by the manufacturer.
- Receipts for installation items must accompany the warranty claim.
- Parts and labor warranties may be available for an additional cost and will be indicated on your invoice.
- Labor claims, when covered, are paid based on the Chilton Labor Guide at a rate of $80.00 per hour. Labor warranties are limited to the lesser of the purchase price of the component or $500.00.
- Best Auto Zone reserves the right to provide warranty repair at a facility of its choice.
- Labor claims will only be paid if a parts and labor warranty is indicated on your invoice.
- The warranty term is based on the original purchase date.
Sheetmetal & Body Parts
- Unless otherwise noted on your invoice, sheetmetal and body parts carry a lifetime corrosion or manufacturer defect replacement warranty.
- The original invoice must accompany any warranty claim.
- The defective part must be returned to Best Auto Zone for replacement.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover the following items or conditions:
- The purchaser's loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicle use, towing expense, installation expense, commercial loss, rental cars, or other consequential damages.
- On driveline components: fluids, gaskets, seals, filters, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, clutches, water pumps, wiring, thermostats, sensors, hoses, belts, frost plugs, spark plugs, and injectors.
- Claims resulting from accident, abuse, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance, or improper installation.
- Claims resulting from the failure of other existing components.
- Claims resulting from overheating due to cooling system failure.
- Parts installed in vehicles used for commercial, racing, or off-road purposes, or parts used for any purpose other than the original application.
- Warranty coverage is for the original purchaser only. Warranties are not transferable.
